Turn Back the Clock with Skin Rejuvenation

Turn Back the Clock with Skin Rejuvenation

At our busy New York City practice, The Wellness Restoration Center in Midtown East, Manhattan, Dr. Marcia A. Harris takes an integrative, whole-patient treatment approach to issues such as medically supervised weight loss, sexual health, hair loss, and skin revitalization.

The highly effective, noninvasive treatments Dr. Harris provides for your skin combine advanced medical technology and technique to address fine lines, wrinkles, and other age-related changes at the cellular level.

What is skin rejuvenation?

Skin rejuvenation or revitalization is a general term that describes various therapies used to improve the overall appearance of your skin.

The rejuvenation treatments we offer at The Wellness Restoration Center help overcome changes in skin tone, vibrancy, and texture that may be related to sun exposure, poor diet, aging, stress, and other factors that compromise your skin’s health and vitality.

Designed with your safety, comfort, and satisfaction in mind, these nonsurgical therapies can successfully reduce the appearance of:

Dr. Harris explains that the treatments she provides, while highly effective, utilize advanced technologies rather than harsh chemicals and other invasive methods such as needling to revive your skin.

Once she has completed a full skin evaluation, Dr. Harris designs a customized treatment strategy based on your needs. A couple of her favorite advanced skin revitalization systems are Collagenizer NEO™ and Thermismooth®.

What is Collagenizer NEO?

This revolutionary therapy provides the same skin benefits as microneedling treatments but eliminates the discomfort, redness, bruising, and prolonged recovery time required for so-called “vampire facials.”

Both therapies are based on infusing helpful substances such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into the second skin layer (dermis), where cellular regeneration takes place. This boosts your skin’s ability to rebuild healthy tissue.

Microneedling requires the use of a handheld device that contains rows of small needles to puncture through the top layer of your skin (epidermis) to reach the dermis.

Collagenizer NEO is an FDA-cleared, painless treatment that uses low energy pulsed electric current to temporarily open channels to the dermis. This allows Dr. Harris to infuse PRP, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and other regenerative substances into the dermis without needles.

The therapy reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and other problematic issues. If you’re concerned about hair loss, Dr. Harris may also recommend pain-free PRP treatments with the Collagenizer NEO system.

What is Thermismooth?

Thermismooth treatment systems use radiofrequency (RF) energy to tighten and smooth loose skin. For areas plagued by cellulite, Dr. Harris may recommend ThermiTight® to break down fat beneath the skin’s surface on your abdomen, arms, or neck, leaving you with smoother, tighter, younger-looking skin.

When used on your face, Thermismooth gently heats targeted areas of the dermis. This stimulates natural collagen production. Increased collagen improves the overall tone, texture, and health of your skin. It also helps restore lost volume in your cheeks and other areas.

These and other revitalization therapies offered at The Wellness Restoration Center meet Dr. Harris’ rigorous standards for patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction while sparing you the pain and long recovery time linked to injections, laser, surgery, and other harsh skin rejuvenation treatments.
