Dr. Harris is attentive and listens to your concerns. When other doctors are stumped, she takes an interest to investigate and help figuring out the problem and is honest and frank. She is smart and sharp and has experience. She has helped me from high school through college with dysmenorrhea. She is the reason my son is alive insisting on bedrest when in my first trimester I was bleeding. She also helped me with bioidentical hormones and is very knowledgeable on the subject matter. I met Dr. Harris at NY Hospital in the late 70s when she treated my mom for uterine cancer. I was immediately impressed by the fact that she was woman, surgeon, extremely pregnant. She was brilliant, exuded confidence and had a penchant for practicing medicine methodically & as it should be practiced. I became a patient not too long after that & still with her. What impressed me most was that she didn’t bother with the phony, lazy ‘I’m your buddy but only know your name because I peeked at the chart when you weren’t looking’ bedside manner. She told you what she thought, her plan to attain an accurate diagnosis & treatment plan. So, if you want an empty-headed, grinning MD that golfs, look elsewhere.
